The Bhakti Yoga club involves students and community members with various interests, vocations, cultures, ages and religious affiliations. It is a universal gathering of sincere spiritualists dedicated to personal growth, soulful evolution, and the development of Divine love.

The Bhakti Yoga Club offers a non-sectarian approach to strengthening personal spiritualism through the exploration of Eastern methods, philosophy and various meditations. Many members are positively influenced and brought to deep realizations through their own active experience.

Bhakti is a term that denotes the spiritual practice of worshiping God in Hindus. When Bhakti is combined with yoga, the love and devotion to God is shown through spiritual yoga practices. Traditionally, the Bhakti yoga is divided into nine-forms. It is believed that Bhakti yoga is one of the easiest paths out of the four basic paths towards liberation, also commonly called as “moksha”, especially in the present era of kali yuga.  This is believed that Bhakti yoga is a soulful practice that even exceeds the stage of moksha in a manner if spiritual realization.  

Performing Bhakti yoga: 

The place for practicing Bhakti yoga is required to be highly peaceful. The body should be left completely relaxed. The performer sits on a yoga mat, which is normally made of cane and start the yoga Bhakti with the word ‘OM’ in mind. This is a magical word. According to Hindus, this word has great magical power of calming all the excited muscles and provided great harmony of piece to the body.  

It is recommended to wear proper yoga clothes to begin the practice. One cannot concentrate on Bhakti yoga, if is comfortable. The Lycra yoga clothes are preferred for practicing Bhakti yoga. 

All the types of Bhakti yoga teaches one how to stay in touch with god constantly. The internal meditation and japa are the two processes that are highly taught in the Bhakti yoga schools. Bhakti is one of the ways of yoga itself, in which the aim is to achieve a type of divine, harmony of love and Supreme Lord.
