The Bhakti Yoga Club is affiliated with the University of Arizona and inspired by the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It includes UA students, faculty and the Tucson community. All interested, new and existing members should attend the programs and activities of the Club. All programs are free of charge. There is no experience required to attend them. There are no obligations. We invite you to attend when you can. The programs embrace participants with all philosophies, traditions, beliefs, practices and statuses. The programs provide a forum for active spiritual discussion and application. The following are the established
programs of the club: (as of 10/29/04) The LOVE FEAST & FESTIVAL is held on SUNDAYS, 6 - 9 pm weekly at varying locations. This is a very interpersonal sharing of warm consciousness and elevated discussion. Eastern chanting, traditional drumming, cymbals and harmonium nurture the heart through the ancient practice of kirtan yoga and Om chants. All members are encouraged to participate to the level they feel comfortable (and bringing instruments as well !!). Spiritual discourse centers the group and stimulates the consciousness. This is a good forum where questions and answers are shared as well as open discussions about the application of personal spiritual practice. A delicious spiritually surcharged vegetarian feast is served afterward for all to relish and partake of. The BHAKTI YOGA BOOKTABLE is on the main mall, central campus every TUESDAY from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. Stop by and see the latest books available and join others in some stimulating and intriguing spiritual discussion about the body, soul, consciousness, karma, reincarnation, past lives, and meditation… all while devouring delicious spiritually homemade cookies! We look forward to your attendance to all of our FREE programs! |
